Come join the Summer Sharks, the summer swim team supported by the Bethel Park Recreation Swim Team. Learn about competitive swimming in a fun, low-stress, and positive way through practices and five swim meets with other local South Hills based summer swim teams.
Any child ages 6 through 14, who can swim the length of the pool (25 yards) unassisted without stopping can join in the fun. Come and make new friends, learn about about competitive swimming, and participate in five local swim meets with us!
The season includes four informal dual meets where the Summer Sharks team members swim against the other ASDSL teams including Peters Township Stingrays, Mt. Lebanon Piranhas, Canon-Mac Kraken and Upper St. Clair Wahoos. A final league championship meet ends the summer league season in late July. Dual meets last approximately two hours held in the evenings and will rotate among the five local high school participating in the league.
The AMS South Developmental League (ASDSL) is affiliated with Allegheny Mountain Swimming, a Local Swimming Community (LSC) of USA Swimming that covers counties in Western Pennsylvania and Eastern Ohio. All swimmers who join the Summer Sharks swim team will be required to have a USA Swimming Flex membership.
Registration is open May 13th-June 2nd at bprswim.org. Look for the Team Events Button and select Bethel Park Summer Sharks.
Practices will be held at Bethel Park High School Pool Starting Monday June 2nd.
